We knew that Acer had plans for a quad core tablet and we expected them to unveil those plans at CES 2012. All we got for now was a teaser of a new Iconia Tab model, one that sports an 1080p display and a quad core processor. The info came out as Acer teased the public during their press conference at CES 2012.
Acer’s Campbell Kan held the tablet in his hand and showed it to everyone and you can see the device in the image above. After this brief showcasing, the slate was hidden again and rumors say that this is the Acer Iconia Tab A700 we’re looking at, the one that leaked on the web in a bunch of pictures a couple of weeks ago. For now everything else remains a mystery, but you should expect an announcement today or tomorrow and some solid hands on tim as well.
I also expect at least a 5MP camera with 1080p capture on this device, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, at least 32GB of internal memory and maybe even LTE connectivity. Maybe the price tag will also be decent…
