Users of the Dell Streak 7 are reporting that some of their units have started receiving Honeycomb updates, although Google didn’t say anything about that. Considering October has begun, we’re closer than ever to the launch of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, so Honeycomb update should become common these days.

As far as the Dell Streak 7 goes, the tablet will get wiped of all the saved data as the installation proceeds. Now all we have to do is pray and wait for Honeycomb on the HP TouchPad, HTC Flyer and maybe even the BlackBerry PlayBook, although that’s scifi talk for the most part. In case you have a Dell Streak 7 that’s update-free, rest easy, as the rollout takes a while, but it will pick up towards the week’s end.

I’m wondering if there will be any transition update between Honeycomb and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, stuff like Android 3.3 and 3.4… what do you say?
