Don’t you just love the FCC? They always reveal the most interesting of products ahead of everyone else… This time we’ve just found out that there will be an 8GB version of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android slate, with Honeycomb on board.

The FCC includes minor data about the product, including the fact that this device uses 8GB of Samsung Flash memory. The A500 is available right now in 16GB and 32GB flavors, but the newcomer with less storage should mean that we’ll get a more appealing price tag. Anyway, the storage isn’t really crucial, since you can add microSD cards, if you want to.

We have no timeframe as far as the release of the product is concerned. Also, in case you’re wondering, the specs will stay the same: 10.1 inch display, WiFi, 1GHz CPU, dual cameras, HDMI out, full size USB port and GPS.
