ASUS has refreshed the Vivobook 15 X1504 with Intel Wildcat Lake processors. Notebookcheck first spotted the refresh through a Canadian listing. Configurations include the Core 7 350 and Core 5 320, though US availability has yet to be detailed.
In Canada, the Core 7 350 model with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is listed at CAD 1,399.99, or roughly US$1,000. The 16GB version costs CAD 1,499.99, roughly US$1,100 at recent exchange rates. ASUS has not announced US pricing .
A 2026 Processor, an Aging Display
The Core 7 350 is a Wildcat Lake chip with six cores and six threads, boost speeds of up to 4.8GHz, and an NPU rated at up to 17 TOPS. Notebookcheck found it somewhat faster and more efficient than the older Core 7 150U. ASUS also offers Core 5 320, Core 5 315, and Core 3 304 options in this family. The NPU can accelerate local AI workloads, but it does not make this a Copilot+ PC: Microsoft requires at least 40 TOPS for that designation.
The rest of the laptop is considerably more conservative. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display at 60Hz, with 250 nits of brightness and 45% NTSC coverage. In other words, the processor has reached 2026, but the screen has not. DDR5 memory goes up to 32GB but runs in single-channel mode, while storage uses a PCIe 4.0 SSD. By comparison, the higher-end Vivobook S 15 uses OLED and a more ambitious AI-focused platform.
Connectivity is more practical: USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with Power Delivery, two USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-A 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4, and a headphone jack. The keyboard includes a number pad and Copilot key, while the 720p webcam has a physical privacy shutter. The 42Wh battery, 3.75-pound weight, and 0.70-inch thickness reinforce its role as a conventional office or school laptop rather than a direct rival to a premium ultrabook.
The Vivobook 15 refresh is notable because ASUS has not tried to reinvent the machine: it retains the chassis, display, and battery while swapping in a newer processor. The result looks best suited to buyers who value a full-size keyboard and broad port selection over display quality, battery capacity, or Copilot+ PC features. US pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.
