Red Magic has been quietly expanding into new segments and they’ve made quite the impact with the Astra tablet. Now they’re back with a model dubbed Nubia Red Magic Tablet 5 Pro. It’s confirmed for a June launch, with a transparent design and flagship touch chip, as well as advanced cooling.
The device is promoted as a compact, but high performance machine, continuing in the same vein as the predecessors. There were more teasers around MWC 2026, so we knew this was coming. Red Magic promises a mix of industry first and in house gaming technologies, with a focus on display responsiveness, cooling and high end performance. Thermal management is a key focus here, as Red Magic has built a reputation around aggressive cooling.
The Tablet 5 Pro has PC-grade thermals, according to the company, upgraded heat dissippation and an advanced internal cooling setup. It’s supposed to maintain the stable frame rates during long gaming sessions. Red Magic confirmed a June launch and a transparent flat body design. It exposes some of the innards and RGB lighting. The company teases a high refresh rate gaming display, a flagship grade touch chip, plus the CUBE Sky Gaming engine.
The previous gen model, Gaming Tablet 3 Pro debuted globally as the Red Magic Astra and it packed a 9 inch OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a large battery. There’s also active cooling. No pricing yet, but I expect around 600 euros, maybe more.
