Nubia is definitely enjoying its time being along on the mobile gaming device market. ASUS doesn’t make ROG Phones anymore, so they can definitely take over. They’re also making one more gaming tablet, better said the Nubia Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, which is confirmed for launch below.
The upcoming Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro has been teased multiple times, with the focus being on CPU, cooling, GPU, design. Jiang Chao, a senior at Nubia mentioned on Weibo that the slate will come in April or May 2026. We don’t have an exact date, yet. It follows up on the last year Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which was a compact device, in the vein of Lenovo Legion ones.
The previous model was launched in China first and then came internationally as the Red Magic Astra. According to teasers, the new device will pack an OLED display with a very high refresh rate, perhaps even more than 165 Hz. Some even mentioned 200 Hz. On the performance side of things, the Red Magic is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and adopt advanced cooling. We’re talking about advanced cooling with PC-grade materials.
The pricing is yet unclear, but it could be higher than the predecessor on account of the memory crysis. A transparent back is not out of the question, being trendy for this brand.
