Samsung is working on a new tablet, a rugged one, the Galaxy Tab Active 5. Today we learn that the device will come in 2024 and we learn that it has just been certified by the Bluetooth SIG authority, according to sister site Mobilissimo.ro.
The device has been certified by the FCC as well. We first discover that the new slate will come in two versions: Wi-Fi only and 5G. Both have been listed in the Bluetooth SIG database, meaning that the launch is close. The slate appears under various names, such as SM-X300 (the global Wi-Fi version) or SM-X306B (global 5G).
There are also other models, like SM-X306N, SM-X308B and SM-X308B for other regions. The device will arrive with Bluetooth 5.3 in the mix and according to a previous certification, we know we’ll get 128 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, S-Pen and 15W wired charging via USB-C. Since it’s a rugged device, we’ll get both IP68 and military certification.
There re great odds that inside we’ll find the Exynos 1380 processor, also found on the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy A54.
