We’ve covered the OPPO Pad tablet so often, that I had a feeling it was already launched or something. The device has finally been announced today, sporting the exact same specs we expected. We’re talking about a Snapdragon 870 CPU, 2.5K display and stylus support.
The device debuted with the OPPO Find X5 series and the Enco X2 headphones. The new tablet has a premium build, with a metal frame and a frosted glass back side. It measures 6.9 mm in thickness and weighs 507 grams. OPPO Pad sports an 11 inch LTPS LCD display with a 2560 x 1660 pixel resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It support HDR10 content and has mid thickness bezels, symmetrical ones. There’s also an 8 MP selfie camera integrated into the side bezel.
The back side has a dual tone finish and engraving of the OPPO letters, in a fashionable way. There’s a 13 MP back camera here with LED flash and the slate also brings quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification. Accompanying the Snapdragon 870 are 6 or 8 GB of RAM, plus 128 or 256 GB of storage. There’s an 8300 mAh battery in the mix, with 33W charging and the unit runs on ColorOS 12 with ColorOS for Pad interface, based on Android 11.
There’s multi screen collaboration available here, for certain OPPO Phones, providing quick file transfers and phone mirroring on the tablet screen. The OPPO Pencil stylus has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and it attaches to the tablet with magnets. It also offers 13 hours of battery life. There’s also an optional keyboard case. OPPO will sell the product with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, starting at $363. Sales start in China on March 3rd.
