We have received news about the prices of the latest tablets in Europe, courtesy of tipsters Martino and Marco, which we thank. It seems that Spanish retailer ThePhoneHouse already has the following devices listed, with prices attached: LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Asus Eee Pad Transformer and Acer Iconia Tab A100.
The products are supposed to debut in Europe (or at least in Italy) this summer, with the Motorola Xoom 3G going for 699 euros, while the LG Optimus Pad and its 3D features costing 849 euros. Asus Eee Pad Transformer goes for 399 EUR, while the Acer Iconia Tab A100 costs 349 EUR. The Spanish retailer has no details on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, sadly, a pretty decent alternative for the Xoom.
Seems that the LG tablet is the most pricey one, maybe because of those dual cameras capable of 3D capture, or because of the 3D screen? The Asus Eee Pad is actually quite cheap, but if you want power, Motorola is the way to go. There are also rumors about the HP Opal tablet (Touchpad?) launching on July 1st in Europe, although that’s yet to be confirmed.
