All the teasers regarding Motorola’s new tablet have been confirmed and the Motorola Moto Tab G62 is now official, at least in India. Moto is no stranger to tablets, launching the XOOM models a decade ago, but now this is a whole different ball game.
Moto Tab G62 is a modest, budget tablet that’s being sold in India courtesy of Flipkart. It has a metal build, with a differently colored stripe area at the back, which Lenovo made cool at some point. The device uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot. Motorola Moto Tab G62 packs a 10.6 inch IPS LCD display with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution.
Also on board we find two cameras, an 8 MP selfie shooter upfront and an 8 MP back shooter with 118 degree field of view. Available in a dual tone color choice, the device has a water repellant design and uses a 7700 mAh battery juiced up via USB-C port at up to 20W. Other specs include a 3.5 mm audio jack, quad speakers and Dolby Atmos acoustics. Moto Tab G62 comes in just one color choice, but there are two versions of it: Wi-Fi and 4G.
The Wi-Fi unit is priced at $201 and it’s available in India via Flipkart. The 4G one is priced at $223 and it’s going on sale on August 22nd.
