The idea of the mini LED iPad Pro coming soon is already played out, having been covered by us multiple times, so it’s time to address other incoming iPads. An interesting one is definitely going to be the iPad Mini 6. It’s been rumored to increase diagonal further than the classic 7.9 inches and now we get to see renders of it courtesy of Svetapple.sk
Speculations have previously said that the new iPad Mini will mimic the current iPad Air 4 design, delivering flat edges and maybe even a Power button at the top with Touch ID. An 8.9 inch screen is also in the cards. Other voices are saying that it may channel the iPad Air 3 actually and deliver an unibody metal shell with rounded edges and also a rather large footprint. The device is also rumored to pack an 8.4 inch screen and preserve shape. Svetapple.sk went with the first version and drew inspiration from the iPad Air 4.
They created a concept for the iPad Mini 6th gen which is basically a miniature of the last year iPad Air. It’s got a Liquid Retina 8.9 inch screen with a 2360 x 1640 pixel resolution, with 500 nits of brightness, TrueTone tech and P3 color spectrum support. The Touch ID sensor is now located in the upper Power button and there’s also a 7 MP FaceTime HD camera upfront, plus a 12 MP F/1.8 Lens at the back side. iPad Mini 6 can do Smart HDR 3 or Portrait mode.
Inside we find the Apple A14 Bionic processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of storage. There’s an USB-C port at the bottom for charging, replacing the classic Lightning. We could also see support for the latest versions of Apple Pencil. One thing’s for sure: the old timey bezels of the older iPad Minis have got to go.
