Microsoft Surface Go has been one of the most affordable Windows tablets out there, but it was lacking a crucial feature: LTE connectivity. The long awaited LTE version now gets a release date and a price, detailed below.
The Surface Go starts at $399 right now and it’s got 4 GB of RAM plus 64 GB of storage. It goes to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage for $549. For $679 you can get the new LTE version
with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and the preorder is on right now. The product actually has LTE Advanced and it’s going to ship in 23 markets by November 22nd. The newcomer is
a 10 incher with a 1800 x 1200 pixel display, an Intel Pentium 4415Y CPU, WiFi ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
There’s also an USB Type-C port, a Surface Connect Port and the Surface Go Type Cover port. Extra storage is available via microSDXC and we also have a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device weighs 1.2 pounds, measures around 0.3 inches and also provides a main 8 megapixel camera, plus a front 5 MP shooter. There’s also support for Windows Hello face recognition and of course you can pair it up with the Surface Pen and Surface Go Type Cover (sold separately).
I should probably also mention that the Surface Go LTE with accessories probably goes past $900 and that sum can bring a new Surface Pro 6 tablet, sans LTE.
