Although Motorola Xoom is set to reach the physical stores tomorrow, there’s already talk of a limited edition of the slate, one in gold. This special edition will be available during the Oscars, given with a custom leather envelope case to the hosts and nominees at the Academy Awards this weekend.
You’ll only be getting the standard black edition of the device at launch, but maybe some time after the Oscars, you’ll find the golden one as well. As we’ve heard, not all the Oscar attendants will get this treat, but rather the ones hosting and nominated in the Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress and Best Director sections.
