E-books have been all about E-Ink till now, but this technology is becoming obsolete, so it’s not surprise to see an LCD-based e-reader like the one pictured below getting ready to surface on the market. Known as Libre eBook Reader PRO, this device sports a monochrome 5 inch reflective LCD panel and a $179 price tag.
The Ebook readers’s battery is able to last 24 hours (continuous use) with a single charge. Not as good as the E-Ink performance, but it’s pretty good for an average user. Libre is compatible with ePUB and PDF formats, bundles a 2GB SD card and… that’s about it.
For the above mentioned price, this could be a keeper, specially for Xmas.
