We’ve been waiting for a fresh Microsoft launch event for a while now, but those usually happen in later fall, so here we are finally with a confirmation from the horse’s mouth. Microsoft is prepping something for October 26th, when they’ll host an event in New York, that will bring us fresh hardware and software announcements.
We expect to see a Surface All in One PC there, as well as info about the Windows 10 Redstone 2 release. Best case scenario the Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 make an appearance, although I wouldn’t bet hard money on that. Most analysts and leaksters pegged those models for a 2017 launch, so let’s pace ourselves. Apparently, this conference is mainly going to be discussing the new and modular Surface All in One PC, Surface Keyboards and Surface Mouse units, plus the Windows 10 Redstone 2 release.
There will also be some Xbox updates and that’s where the list of core announcements ends. We are advised to not expect a Microsoft Band or Surface Phone just yet, while the tablets and laptops are up in the air. I expect some hardcore pricing for the Surface AIO and some hardcore specs as well, with the latest Intel chip, a ton of RAM and storage.
The design will be interesting to watch, seeing how Microsoft has launched some stylish products over the past years
