Archos 70b Ereader is a device based on Android that has just reached pre-order status in Europe. France is the first country to get the 7 inch slate. The unit goes for $131 and we expect it to ship somewhere before the end of December, but before January 7 2011, according to official info.

Here’s the specs list for the device you can check out in the pic above:

  • Display: 7 inch WVGA touchscreen
  • Connectivity: WiFi b/g, USB
  • Memory: 4GB internal, SD card slot (16GB extra)
  • Other features: stereo speakers, video playback
  • Battery life: 10 hours of ebook reading, 6 hours of video, 18 hours of music

Considering that this device was seen at the FCC a while ago, it should reach the US soon enough. Archos 70b supposedly supports Adobe DRM, the one used in the Google eBookstore.
