Japanese carriers KDDI and Okinawa Cellular have recently certified a fresh tablet, a compact model with pretty solid midrange specs. The device is called Qua Tab PX (LGT31) and it will be coming on July 1st 2016.
The Qua Tab brand belongs to the au company in Japan and this model will be available with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board. It’ll also bring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor (octa core, clocked at 1.5 GHz) and an 8 inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, plus an IPS LCD panel. We’ve got a 5 megapixel main camera here, plus a 5 MP front shooter.
This is no regular WiFi slouch, since it has FDD-LTE support, plus WiMAX 2+ (TD+LTE). It’ll perform its downloads via LTE Category 4, going all the way up to 150 Mbps in download speeds. Then there’s Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. This is a dust proof model, as well as waterproof, within the IP6X, IPX5 and IPX7 standards. The battery is a 4800 mAh unit and the device comes in white, pink or navy.
