The iPad Air 3 has leaked a lot over the past months, but over the last 30 days it got a new name, iPad Pro 9.7, meaning it was going to be the 9.7 inch version of the iPad Pro. Today the naming iPad Pro Mini is thrown around, just as a set of new pictures of the device pop up.
It’s in fact a dummy unit with a case on, but it’s good enough to make us spot its quad speakers and Smart Connector on the side. This 9.7 inch model is said to be announced either on March 22nd or the 18th, together with the iPhone 5se. The triple dot Smart Connector implies that there’s going to be a smart keyboard tailored for this product.
We can’t yet say if the specs of the iPad Pro will indeed be kept on this smaller format, but we’d surely enjoy getting 4 GB of RAM and the Apple A9X CPU, if not the A10 even. Interestingly, while the amount of leaks about the product is quite big, there’s no trace of details about its screen panel and resolution. 4K is always a possibility…
