Fujitsu is among the big brands to plan on entering the tablet segment and they recently showcased a mockup slate, that they want to launch in 2011. Shown at Visit 2010 this week, the device is part of a series of concepts that were introduced last month. Too bad that we have no specs for this unit, aside from a 10.1 inch screen, with great visibility from all angles.
The Asian electronics maker wanted everyone to know that they’ve been producing slates for a while now, although their gadgets were not in the center of the media’s attention. Apparently, they want to target corporate environments through the new products, making them “blend in to corporate IT infrastructures”.
This makes the Fujitsu tablets HP Slate 500 rivals and also units that compete with the BlackBerry PlayBook. Promising? Time will tell…
