Microsoft debuted its very first laptop, the Surface Book earlier this month and offered preorders the next day. Then the uniquely hinged 2 in 1 device started arriving on customers doorsteps on October 26th and now it’s time for the marketing gears to start turning. A series of ads for the products have began popping up on TVs.

These 15 second long TV ads for the Surface Book are focused on creativity and the artistic nature of the product. They all deliver the same message and one of them shows a person recording music and editing, another shows video editing and finally one shows how a portrait is drawn. Relegating the Surface Book to a mere content editor is a risky strategy, making this seem like a “me too” device.

In fact, it’s a very powerful laptop, with the first tests proving it’s even more powerful than the latest MacBooks. Keep in mind that this product comes with a screen that detaches from the body and can be used as a separate tablet. Price starts at $1499 for the 128 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM and Intel Core i5 version and you can get the product with up to 16 GB RAM, a Core i7 6th gen chipset and 1 TB of SSD.  You can get it here .
