We’ve known the rugged Galaxy Tab Active LTE tablet for a while now and the FCC has finally decided to certify the product for sale. This Samsung tablet debuted at IFA 2014 in September last year.

Also known under the codename SM-T365M, the product is a shock-proof slate with IP67 certification and resilience to dust and water. It can be dunked in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and it’s shock protected against drops from 1.2 meter high. All of that is achieved through a special cover protection applied to the device.

Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active LTE provides an 8 inch LCD screen, with HD resolution, as well as a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, an Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5 GB of RAM. There’s 16 GB of storage in the mix, a 3.15 MP back camera with LED flash and a pair of stereo speakers, too. What you see in the image above is the C-Pen stylus, in tandem with the tablet.
