We owe a great debt to Nickelodeon for making our childhood more beautiful with programs like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus they also made the legendary Sponge Bob and now to top it all they debuted their own tablet. This is a device called Nickelodeon Junior and it’s pictured below.
This is a small device, a 7 incher with a dual core 1 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, so specs are modest. We also get 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with a bundled 8 GB card and a front 0.3 MP camera. We have no idea what the resolution is here, but I expect something more than 800 x 480, probably 1024 x 600 pixels. There’s Android on board, in an unspecified version, as well as 200 apps, of which 21 exclusively available on this slate.
70 games, dozens of TV shows from the famous channel and more are included here. The product has a parental control mode for kids aged 3 to 6 and kids aged 6 to 10 separately. Internet access is also regulated through this, by the way. The product is pretty highly priced, at 129.90 euros, but a brand is a brand after all…
