Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 tablet is getting ready to receive a docking accessory, one that’s coming to 28 markets starting with September 12th. The newcomer is now available for order from the MS Store in the US.
The Docking Station will be up for purchase in retail outlets over the next hours and authorized resellers in 28 markets will offer it. The countries that will sell this product include Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and obviously US and UK. The Docking Station allows the user to turn his Surface Pro 3 into sort of a desktop PC, by offering access to external monitors, keyboard, mouse, printer, speakers and more.
Microsoft also claims they’ve added more extras on this model, stuff like more USB ports, many of them of the USB 3.0 type. There’s an Ethernet port as well, a Mini DisplayPort, five USB ports and the Mini DisplayPort offers you high def video at resolutions of up to 3840 x 2600 pixels. You can also quickly recharge your Surface battery while you work, using this accessory. You can purchase the product here for $200.
