Samsung’s much talked about Galaxy Tab was barely announced and already we hear rumors about a future edition. Apparently, the next Galaxy Tab will give up Android and rely on Chrome OS instead. It all depends on the quality of Gingerbread and how tablet-friendly it is, especially when compared to Chrome.

Samsung is the one making the choice, in this case, so they’ll have the final say. As you might already know, Chrome OS is more about web based applications, like Google Docs, instead of classic downloadable software. Galaxy Tab is, of course capable of running Google’s Chrome OS, but the average user might need professional help to replace Android with this platform, as PC World claims.
