Fresh images of Toshiba’s SmartPad slate have leaked, ahead of the device’s official announcement. Apparently, the pictures you can see below are official press shots, that were made available by NotebookItalia. Previous leaks mentioned an NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU and a 10 inch touch display as part of the specifications, but we can now learn more from these images.
They show touch sensitive buttons placed down the bezel, a front facing camera, stereo speakers and a couple of ports (dock station connector, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI, USB, mini USB and a memory card reader). If this is an Android device or a Windows 7 one, we can’t really tell right now, although both could happen at some point.
Toshiba’s officials said that this device could debut in October 2010, but we hope it’ll be sooner than that.
