Cube is a Chinese electronics company, famous for launching some of the first Retina Android slates in their homeland. They are now reaching out into the 5.5 inch quad core phablet segment, with the model pictured below.

Cube’s very first phablet will go on sale this summer and its hardware points to a rather affordable affair. The device is also known as the U8GTMini and it packs a 5.5 inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad core MT6589 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of memory and a 2500 mAh battery. There’s also a microSD card slot on board and dual SIM support.

The device looks rather simple and its design reminds me of most of the Allview handsets I’ve seen lately, a rebranded series of Chinese devices that are available in Eastern Europe. Pricing for the Cube Pepper Note is said to be around $160.
