Shturmann is a company that just announced the release of an interactive car navigator, called Link 500GL. It’s equipped with a dual system chipset that supports GPS and Glonass technologies.
This slate packs a 5 inch display and supports Internet connectivity and special options like traffic jams, petrol prices, call a tow truck and road cameras. There are also prices for business lunches, pit stops and much more shown on the screen. The device packs a 500 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
Link 500GL also comes with special software from Shturmann, that packages maps of Russia, Ukraine and Finland, a special local bundle. NAVTEQ provides the maps here, the same company that also supplies Nokia Maps with their maps. The recommended price tag is about $190.
