French company Archos has dabbled into each and every tablet segment out there, including gaming tablets, tablets for kids and Retina Display tablets. Now they tackle the kitchen tablet area, with the ChefPad model shown below.
As the name of the product segment says, this is a slate for people who like to cook, foodies and potential Master Chef candidates. The ChefPad is a 9.7 inch tablet designed as a cooking companion and offered with a stand that will prop it up, for you to see the recipes better. It also has a removable splash-resistant silicone case and allows quick access to cooking applications, videos and more.
The device features a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, a 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex A9 dual core CPU with Mali 400 MP4 graphics and 1 GB of RAM. There’s also 8 GB of storage on board and the device runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It’s a Google certified device, so you get all the goodies. The price is pretty reasonable, at $220 and the unit also comes with 2 MP cameras, mini HDMI port, microSD card slot and stereo speakers.
