Acer had a big New York event just hours ago, where it unveiled its latest ultrabook, the Aspire P3. This model packs Windows 8 into a touchscreen convertible with a 11.6 inch HD IPS LCD display. I can’t help but notice that this product is pretty similar to the device we recently reviewed here, the Acer Iconia W700, at least in the specs area.

The Aspire P3 offers a Core i3 or i5 setup, up to 6 hours of battery life and all of that packed within a 0.77 inch thick notebook. You can turn this laptop into a tablet, simply changing its orientation. The P3 supports finger and stylus input and on the connectivity side we’ve got a USB 3.0 port, HDMI, an audio jack and Dolby Home Theater speakers, plus a HD webcam upfront.

At the back there’s a 5 megapixel camera and inside we’ve got either a 60 GB or 128 GB SSD. Acer claims that the P3 can wake up from sleep in only a few seconds. By the way, you should know that this product weighs 3.06 pounds, it runs Windows 8 and it’s up for sale right now. The pricing starts at $799.99 and goes up with the specs.
