This week Samsung pulled two health-related launches: first the S Health collection of apps and accessories for the Galaxy S4 and now they’re launching the Galaxy Note 10.1 Medical Hub Edition in Korea.
They’re targeting medical students and practitioners with this launch of a new version of the Note 10.1, that we reviewed last summer. The device keeps the same hardware underneath, but this time it comes preloaded with medical dictionaries for medical students, plus human anatomy and much more. The tablet also uses the S Pen, that will be employed to color the anatomy. The product retails for about $720 and if you’ll buy it before the end of April you’ll get a book cover or a Bluetooth keyboard as gift.
Other than that, the device keeps the 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, the quad core Exynos CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera and the bundle of S Note and S Pen applications. It will be nice to see an analysis of which tablet is doing better in the medical field: the iPad or one of the Samsung devices.
