Nokia is supposed to be working on its very own tablet, a fact that we’ve heard about a bunch of times this year. Now more information has surfaced about this model that’s supposed to run Windows RT. It appears that Nokia will offer a battery packing keyboard cover for the product, making the accessory more appealing than the Surface’s covers.
This new special cover will envelop the entire Nokia tablet like a book and also provide a kickstand when open. The Verge have an inside scoop on the device, claiming it will have HDMI and 2 USB ports, plus a 10 hour battery life and a 10.1 inch display. Cellular connectivity will also be available on some models and some of them may even reach AT&T, already a solid partner for Nokia and Microsoft. Nokia intends to build initially a smaller number of slates, in order to test the market, although the Surface RT was test enough if you ask me…
Nokia’s further plans involve a full fledged Windows 8 tablet, but till that happens we have to see how the Win RT model pans out. It will be interesting to see if they go with a Tegra 3 CPU or a Qualcomm Snapdragon, either dual core or quad core one…
