The 10 inch MediaPad FHD Huawei tablet has been detailed a lot over the past weeks and months and now the device has reached the FCC, en route to its American debut. The slate was taken apart in the usual FCC teardown, that resulted in the many pics available in our source link.
This Chinese 10 inch tablet is an Android device, with a 10 inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display, a 1.5 GHz quad core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The first Huawei MediaPad came in USA rebranded as the T-Mobile Springboard. Huawei announced the tablet in February and it was running Android 4.0 back then, so I suppose it’s the same OS now. The device has HSPA+ radios, so a debut on T-Mobile is in the cards. The connectivity goes to 84 Mbps on HSPA+ in the case of the tablet, although T-Mobile only supports up to 42 Mbps.
With the Springboard being old and the current Full HD tablet offers on the market (ASUS and Acer models), there’s always room for a cheaper quad core 1200p display slate, provided that it doesn’t have the same defects as the latest Acer tablets. Tempted by the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD?
