The product is now up for preorder and it goes for $99.99, which is not bad at all. If you’re a PlayBook owner, this could be a good idea to expand the functionality of your slate.
PlayBook keyboard case pictures leaked a month ago and rumors said that there’s also a 10 inch versions coming, as well as a dock. Back to the product pictured above, this is a full fledged keyboard with touchpad, left and right mouse clicks and multitouch support. Estimated shipping is March 23rd this year and The Source offer the price here as a bargain, since the unit will cost $119.99 after April 11. Honestly speaking, I’ve seen such accessories on cheaper tablets, too and it doesn’t quite feel high end enough for a BlackBerry series product…
However, as long as it does its job, it’s not bulky, heavy or uncomfortable to carry around, it’s a decent product. I can’t wait to see the 10 inch PlayBook, its dock and PlayBook OS 3.0… Honestly speaking, they will make or break the fate of Research in Motion.
