The number of tablets that run Android 4.0 has just climbed to 3, as the Acer Iconia Tab A200 got its share of Ice Cream Sandwich. Previously, the ASUS Transformer Prime and Motorola Xoom received their updates, last month. The update brings the user Andorid 4.0.1 and the version number here is Acer_AV041_A200_1.037.00_PA_CUS1.
If you haven’t been prompted to perform this update, you should go to the Settings area, then About Tablet, System update and Check now. For those of you who think that the Acer Iconia Tab A200 is a solid purchase now, know that this model uses the design style of the A500, but it loses that cheap feeling of the predecessor. We get a 10.1 inch WXGA LCD display on it, sadly with poor viewing angles, a custom Acer Ring UI, that I really wonder if it was kept in Android 4.0 and a 1GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.
Know that this tablet comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB storage versions, with WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1, plus aGPS. So, if you’re into such a lower end device, buy it, get the update and enjoy Android 4.0, its sweet multitasking system, the Face Unlock and the new icon design and Roboto font.
