If you want a tablet for your children, one that’s both user-friendly and packing Android 4.0, feel free to have a look at the Kurio slate. This model is designed specifically for kids and still remains good enough for adults to use it.
It features a protective casing with very bright colors, that defends the device against bumps and drops, but luckily this accessory is removable, so adults won’t be ashamed of being seen with this case in public. Kurio runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a customized interface and even provides access to Google services and Android Market access.
The tablet features 4GB of internal memory, an SD card slot and 3 versions of screen diagonal: 7 inch with 800 x 480 resolution, 8 inch with 800 x 600 resolution and 9 inch with 940 x 600 resolution. Other features include a HDMI port, a USB socket for extra peripherals and the 8 and 9 inch models will also include 0.3 megapixel front cams. A 2MP rear camera is also on board for these devices. The 7 incher only uses the 0.3MP shooter and in case you’re wondering, the battery life of the Kurio is around 6 hours.
The Kurio will come to the UK in July with a 150 quid price tag (7 inch), while the 8 inch will cost 180 quid and the 9 inch will cost 200 quid.
