There’s a new tablet in Japan, that’s apparently branded Easy Pad and “Don Quixote”, judging by the probably poor translation of the source site. What interests us about this model, aside from its custom UI is its very good price, of just $55.
That price is applied without tax, but I doubt it can surpass $70 or so. Know that this model will come on November 5th, packing Android 4.4 with a custom tile-based UI, that makes it look like a slate for children. Easy Pad features a TFT LCD 7 inch display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and the product is marketed as one for people who are just now getting into the whole tablet fad.
It has its features displayed as large virtual buttons and its specs also include WiFi, a microSD card slot, USB, voice input and output, plus a mini HDMI out. This model can project the content on the screen to a TV set with ease thanks to that port. Inside we’ve got a dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage and upfront rests a 0.3 MP selfie cam. The battery here is a 2300 mAh unit, that offers 3 hours of use and 3 hours of charging.
The product weighs 300 grams.
