Yet another Chinese tablet has come, again with Android 4.0… this time it’s a 10 inch model called simply the 10A03. The model was recently approved by the FCC and this one seems like a version of the slate sold in the US as the $300 Faves Pad 10a03, that’s also rebranded in some other parts of the world.
The 10A03 comes with a 10.1 inch display supporting a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, a 1.2 GHz Amlogic ARM Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 graphics and 1 GB of DDR 3 memory. There’s also somewhere between 4 GB and 16 GB of storage, plus WiFi, a 3MP camera, a G sensor and USB, plus HDMI and microSD on board. It appears that this Android 4.0 unit handles 1080p playback and it’s going to be available with your choice of resistive or capacitive screen. Finally, there’s a 3200 mAh battery on board, good enough for a bunch of hours of use.
As far as size goes, the device measures 0.6 inches in thickness and weighs 1.6 pounds. Sadly we have no prices for this product, although I’m sure it’s in the $150 – $300 range. Seeing that theres a $35 tablet in India meant to receive Android 4.0 by the year end, no price surprises me any more…
