ZTE is one of the big names at CTIA 2012 and they brought there some new phones and tablets. The latter are what interests us the most, so below you can see some images and a video of the ZTE V96, an Android 4.0 tablet with 1.7 GHz processor.

We’re dealing here with a 10 inch tablet that packs the above-mentioned CPU, a dual core Qualcomm unit. The screen supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and the device runs the stock version of Android 4.0 ICS. There’s also a 5 megapixel camera at the back for video/photo capture. 1GB of RAM aids the dual core S4 Krait CPU run Android 4.0 perfectly and you also get 16GB of storage, plus microSD slot for extra memory. On the connectivity side, ZTE offers quad band 4G LTE and HSPA+ on this slate.

The guys who handled the ZTE V96 tablet say that it feels nice in the user’s hand and has decent built quality, but not up to ASUS or Samsung level. The specs are great, build is OK, so overall the product is a solid one. The LTE support may make this a product viable for launch on AT&T or Verizon.
