HP TouchPad was famously selling for $99 at some point during the past year and now there’s a similar offer courtesy of Sprint. I’m talking about the ZTE Optik slate, that’s pictured below and it goes for $99 on a 2 year contract
You will also be able to get the device for $349 off contract and know that Sprint will sell it online starting February 5th and in stores starting March 11th. The slate offers pretty good specs, for this price, including a dual core 1.2GHz processor, a 7 inch screen (1280 x 800 res probably), 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
There’s also a microSD card slot on board, a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2MP shooter at the front. Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G are also included among the specifications, as well as a 4,000 mAh battery and Android 3.2 Honeycomb as the OS. Accessories will also be available for this device, with one of them being a Smart Cover copy, that will be priced at $44.99.
