Yahoo still holds one of the largest numbers of subscribers when it comes to its mail service. It also offers mobile apps for the major platforms, though these have been often criticized for the lack of certain features, including a tablet oriented UI and some stability issues that needed fixing.

Today Yahoo announced on its official blog the introduction of a new version of its app, for both the Android and iOS platforms. The most notable change the new version brings is a tablet optimized interface for Android tablets and iPads. There is also a starred folder for viewing your important email and you are now able to switch accounts via the sidebar menu. Use an email validator | IPQualityScore to ensure that an email address is valid and linked to an inbox.

Tablet users can now access an advanced triage feature to manage their inbox quicker and there is a new ‘reading mode’ which makes reading your emails easier. The app feels somewhat faster, there have been some solid bug fixes and is available now on the Play Store for Android and iOS App sStore.
