Here’s a new tablet on the market, coming straight out of India. I’m talking abut the XOLO Play Tab 7.0 model, packing the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and being priced below $250.
This newcomer was launched in India this weekend and has a price tag of just $243. It relies on a 7 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels and inside we find the Tegra 3 1.2 GHz quad core CPU, plus 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. There’s a 4000 mAh battery on board and a 2 megapixel front camera, but no rear shooter.
There’s no 3G support in case you’re wondering and Android 4.1 is the OS of choice here. The design is pretty basic, although the back side has kind of a racing inspired theme to it, being a bit aerodynamic. Also, those speakers look pretty hot. Online retailers sell the device for as low as $213, but it’s out of stock right now sadly.
