The folks of Webtrek.it have received confirmation regarding the Xiaomi Zimi tablet! It appears that the device is coming on September 5th, as they’ve received an invitation for an event taking place then.
This is the first Android slate that the Chinese company will launch and they’re already boosting their confidence on the market by hiring Hugo Barra, a major Google official and responsible with Android. The Xiaomi Zimi will be a 7 inch Android slate and it appears that in China invites have already been sent.
The invites were sent as a box with a comparison of the size of the new slate with the Galaxy Note 8. Apparently, the newcomer will also get a Full HD resolution, a quad core processor made by Nvidia and 1 GB of RAM. We keep hearing about a 13 megapixel camera, but that seems too much for a midrange slate, such as this model.
Ready for a busy IFA 2013 week culminating with the release of the Note 3 and then the Xiaomi slate?
Thanks Kevin for the tip!
