Xiaomi is holding a pretty big event on October 4th, one meant to unveil the Xiaomi 12T series. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is going to have a 200 megapixel camera and these phones will be accompanied by the Redmi Buds 4 Pro headphones and a tablet, the first Redmi tablet that is: the Redmi Pad. It has just leaked online.

The device is by no means a newly leaked unit, we’ve heard about it before. Xiaomi Kuwait went ahead of time and already posted some images of the slate. A leak from WinFuture also makes light into its design and it seems like a budget affair from the front and a tribute to the Xiaomi 12 design at the back. We get the device in 3 colors: Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green. Xiaomi Redmi Pad will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and it will feature 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

It will run on Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top and uses a 10.61 inch 90 Hz LCD display with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. The panel is a 10 bit one, with up to 400 nits of brightness. The Redmi Pad also brings two cameras on board, an 8 MP shooter at the back and an 8 MP shooter upfront. The source mentions that the front cam will have FocusFrame technology, switching to a wider view when there are more people in front of the device.

Other specs include quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, an 8000 mAh battery with 18W charging and a 22.5W charger bundled. The machine weighs 445 grams and measures 7 mm in thickness. Interestingly previous leaks mentioned a 11.2 inch screen and a 7800 mAh battery. Expect a price of around 250 euros.
