Xiaomi had a lot to reveal on October 29, and besides the much-anticipated Xiaomi 15 series, they introduced two new tablets: the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. These two tablets share a lot under the hood, with both featuring high-performance mid-range processors.
The Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro both sport a sharp 11.2-inch LCD display with a crisp 3200 x 2136 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The screen reaches up to 800 nits of brightness, making it vibrant enough for a range of lighting conditions. Both models pack an 8850mAh battery, but here’s where they start to differ: the base Pad 7 charges at 45W, while the Pro model supports faster 67W charging. Both tablets run the new HyperOS 2 layered over Android 15 and come with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
For cameras, the Xiaomi Pad 7 includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter, while the Pro bumps up the rear sensor to 50MP and the front to a whopping 32MP. Under the hood, the Pad 7 has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor with configurations of 8GB or 12GB RAM, and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.
The Pad 7 Pro also uses the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 but steps it up with storage options reaching 512GB. In terms of dimensions, both models are just 6.18mm thin and weigh 500 grams. Color options include black, green, and blue. The tablets also come with an optional keyboard case with adjustable angles up to 124 degrees and 64 adaptive backlit keys. Additionally, each device features quad speakers, four microphones, Dolby Atmos support, Wi-Fi, and USB-C ports.
Pricing
The Xiaomi Pad 7 starts at around $270, while the Pad 7 Pro begins at about $340, making them compelling options for mid-range tablet seekers.
