Xiaomi held a pretty big event on August 14th, during which it unveiled a brand new tablet, a huge one too, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max. It’s a 14 inch slate with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor inside.

It follows the 11 inch Pad 6 Pro, but also shares some features with it. The Max comes with a 14 inch screen, which offers 62% more surface area to work with compared to the 11 incher. It has a 10 bit display with a 2880 x 1800 pixel resolution and HDR10 support, as well as Dolby Vision and up to 600 nits of brightness.

There’s also Gorilla Glass 5 used for protection. We get a 120 Hz refresh rate and no less than 8 speakers on board with Dolby Atmos support. Inside there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and the base config features 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. You can also have on it as much as 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

A 10.000 mAh battery powers the whole thing and should offer tw days of functioning. Recharging is done via a 67W adapter and needs 30 minutes to bring the device to 50% and 68 minutes to 100%. You can use the Pad 6 Max as a huge power bank to power up smaller electronics via 33W reverse charge. Then there’s the 20 megapixel front camera for videocalls and the main 50 MP camera with 4K video capture.

The device can be used with a kickstand and an official keyboard case. Xiaomi claims that the keys are full size here and there’s also a rather large trackpad. A stylus is also available. The product is sold in China for $520.
