We have heard rumors about the Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet before and seen a few leaks, but not very convincing. Today we’re getting treated with a brand new leak, that involves the picture below. It shows a slate with a portrait format and dual stereo speakers at the bottom.
This model has been in the rumors for a very long time, so it’s got to be real. The Xiaomi Mi Pad is supposed to pack a 7.9 inch display and measure only 8 mm in thickness. The device is said to pack 1 GB of RAM, a 720p screen resolution and a 1.5 GHz quad core processor inside, of the MediaTek kind.
The back side of the case makes me think of a soft touch material, maybe polycarbonate or something close to it. I also expect a microSD card slot to be here and Android 4.2 or 4.3 to have MIUI on top. By the way, the price tag of the Xiaomi Mi Pad is said to be around 1080 yuan, which is about $177.
