Today, Xiaomi, a chinese producer launched their first tablet on the market, a device named Mi Pad. This slate comes with a 7.9 inch display (2048 x 1536 pixel resolution), a 326 ppi pixel density and a design language that looks like the iPad mini tablet. Xiaomi Mi Pad will arrive on the market in several colors like blue, pink, white, black, yellow and green.
Xiaomi Mi Pad will pack a Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot up to 128 GB, dual-stereo speakers, a 8 megapixel main-camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. We also get a 6700 mAh battery that promises up to 1200 hours of stand-by time.
This new device measures 202.1 mm in lenght, 135.4 mm in width and just 8.5 mm in thiness. We also find out that Xiaomi Mi Pad weighs just 360 grams. The tablet will be available in China for $240 pricetag for the 16 GB model and $272 for the model that comes with 64 GB of internal memory.
