We’ve written quite a big piece on WWDC 2012 here, detailing all the announcements at the event and now there’s a great summary video posted by the folks of cultofmac on their YouTube channel. In all those 90 seconds you see the key moments of the keynote held by Tim Cook, Phil Schiller and other Apple bigshots.
You’ll see refreshed MacBook announcements, with Ivy Bridge processors, USB 3.0 ports and Retina Display, plus the iOS 6.0 debut, strong Facebook integration, Maps, Passbook and the evolution of Siri. This is the 23rd WWDC and you also get some figures regarding the App Store and its downloads. Mountain Lion was announced as coming next month, priced at $19.99. The next-gen MacBook Pro is the one with a 15 inch Retina Display, loads of RAM and the latest Intel Core processor.
You also learn about Power Nap, the way to update your Mac while in standby and the good old Stig from Top Gear came on stage to demo the refreshed Game Center, that allows you to play from the Macbook/iMac with people on iPhones and iPads. And then came iOS 6.0, with Facetime now available via cellular, a revamped notification center, Siri that knows about sports and movies, a Do Not Disturb Feature, Eyes Free use of Siri in the car and your one stop app for coupons and cards: PassCode. That’s it folks!
