Fresh off the launch of its X200 Ultra and X200s smartphones, vivo has shifted gears into tablet territory. Enter the vivo Pad5 Pro, a 13-inch powerhouse that’s not only slim and stylish but also the first tablet to rock MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset. It’s joined by a more budget-friendly sibling, the vivo Pad SE (the “S” here cheekily stands for “Study”), and the all-new vivo Watch 5.

At the heart of the vivo Pad5 Pro is a Dimensity 9400 chip — still among the most powerful SoCs around, even after the debut of the 9400+. vivo claims it scores a whopping 2.9 million on AnTuTu, backed by a custom “three-dimensional” cooling system to keep thermal throttling at bay.

You’re looking at a 13-inch 3:2 LCD display, pumping out 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and 10-bit color, with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Whether you’re editing documents, watching Netflix, or gaming at 3.1K or 2.4K@120fps with super-resolution, this screen’s got you covered.

Add to that an 8-speaker setup, and it’s clear vivo is gunning for both productivity and immersive entertainment.

The Pad5 Pro comes in multiple RAM/storage variants — 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB. Just note that only the 128GB version uses UFS 3.1, while the others benefit from UFS 4.1 for faster read/write speeds.

Physically, the tablet is impressively thin at 6.07mm and weighs 635g, but vivo is also offering a Feather Light edition, which slims down to 5.96mm and 578g, available only in 12/256GB and 16/512GB trims.

Battery life is also a highlight: a 12,050mAh cell promises up to 16 hours of video streaming, with 66W fast charging keeping downtime short.

The Pad5 Pro runs Origin OS 5 HD, vivo’s tablet-optimized UI promising desktop-class office features. There’s support for a stylus and an optional Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro case for those planning to turn this slate into a work machine.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1). Camera-wise, you get a 13MP rear shooter capable of 4K video and an 8MP front-facing cam for video calls.
