ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10s tablet was first seen at CES this year and now we found out it was launched in Australia, with a $599 price tag. You mustn’t confuse this device with the ViewPad 10, based on Intel Atom and dual booting Windows and Android. Meanwhile, the ViewPad 10s uses a dual core Tegra 2 CPU to differentiate from the previous model.

The bad news is that the product won’t be available from the start with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, but Android 2.2, although we’ve heard that the latest version of Android will come at a later date. Here’s the specifications list, in case you’re wondering:

  • Display: 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600, multitouch
  • Memory: 512MB DDR2 RAM, 512MB flash storage, microSD card
  • Camera: 1.3MP
  • Connectivity: HSDPA 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI, USB
  • Battery: 3,300 mAh, 7.5 hours of functioning time
